Introduction
- Ask Us Anything (AMA) about moving our tech to Vercel and Directus.
- Objective: To review and introduce the Zendesk Community to you all at a global scale.
- Ideas: Encourage all country teams to share their Feature Request suggestions here, and we recommend you vote for the ones you like to help with prioritization.
- Recorded meeting: Sharepoint Link
Agenda Overview
- 10 Minutes: Ask Us Anything (AMA).
- 10 Minutes: Review of Release Notes.
- 10 Minutes: Review of Feature Request Processes.
- 20 Minutes: Discuss and capture Website Ideas in Figma Wireframe.
- 5 Minutes: Closing out statement.
Future Development
- Documentation: The Tech team will create a basic document to map out how the platforms (Directus, Transifex, Zendesk, etc) we use are connected to one another as it will help non-technical members and new joiners.
- Labeling News Articles: Customization request to label articles in the News section so that country teams can filter topics
- Zendesk Article Font Size Improvement: Tech team to work on refining the font sizes when articles are created in Zendesk. Currently, they are provided as is by Zendesk, but we have the opportunity to enhance that for our members and users.
Open Discussion Topics
- HUGE SUCCESS: We're now all on the same Tech Global Stack meaning we can start working on enhancements to beautify, work on animations, add pictures and more. We're able to focus on improving website navigation and interaction quality.
- Transparency: Release notes, Feature Requests and Roadmap is accessible in the Zendesk Community Space for you to access any time - you can see what we're working on and what projects we have on the horizon and future plans.
- Structured Feature Request Alignment: Submit your feature requests in the dedicated space and feel comfortable to submit your request in any language. Voting will help us with prioritization for development. The Tech team will meet internally every 2 weeks to review your submissions.
- Figma Website Ideas: Suggestions made during the call, and Liam has created some comments in Figma to look into those but do add them to the Feature Requests page to help us determine what should be worked on first. DO NOT make changes in the wireframe themselves as it does require technical knowledge with components.
- Readspeaker (Text-to-Speech) Update: AI announced their own and may and could destroy Readspeaker. Expect to see voice accessibility to change in a couple of months though likely scenario 1-3 years. There's a lot of possibilities at the moment.
