Hi Stephanie,
Your ticket made it to the Developers current sprint and they have completed investigation on your request.
As a recap, users can attach files in any language but you can't attach a specific language document to the Spanish version of the website for example. This capability is limited. The Developer did investigate and it was confirmed that it's not something they can do. On Zendesk, an article with various languages is grouped as the same article i.e. they share all the same article id and article settings, where all the attachments are added.
Unfortunately, there isn't a way for us to separate it. The only way around it would be to create a new article for every language and then add the attachment there which would become extremely confusing for the user on Zendesk and website. The code can only read the file extension name. With that, we strongly advise you and others to follow ImportaMi's method as the alternative route to attaching articles in other languages and how to differentiate them: https://www.importami.org/en-us/articles/14841537817629
We hope that this helps and will better assist you and others when attaching materials in other languages for a single article.
Best,
Helen

Hi Stephanie,
Thanks for your request. I've engaged the frontend dev to discuss this further.
Currently, we don't have a timeline as to when we can get to this due to other high priorities with releasing the Monorepo. For more info on Monorepo, you can find that here.
I will start off with creating an investigation ticket <https://theirc.atlassian.net/browse/SPP-1469> for the Devs to look into it and we will go from there. In the meantime, this is how ImportaMi is currently attaching for their supported languages: https://www.importami.org/en-us/articles/14841537817629
Best,
Helen
