Inputting Provider Details: Required Fields

As a Service Mapping Officer, it is your responsibility to provide all the necessary details for the service. You will be prompted to input various pieces of information to describe the service accurately. The following descriptions will guide you through each category:

“Status” Field: Required Field

Different Status Options in Directus for Provider:

• Active: When the service provider currently has active service locations or is managing and providing active humanitarian services.
• Not Active: When the service provider currently does not have any active service locations at the time.

"Country" Field:  Required Field

The "Country" field in Directus is used to specify the location of a service provider, and associate the provider with appropriate instances of websites. Use the dropdown menu to select the appropriate country.

“Categories” Field:  Required Field

The "Categories" field in Directus allows you to assign relevant categories to a service provider, indicating the specific areas or topics to which the provider belongs. Use the dropdown menu to select the appropriate category for the service provider.

Categorization Benefits: Assigning categories to a provider helps organize and classify it under specific topics or areas. This categorization facilitates easy searching, filtering, and more effective data analysis. 

Relevant and Comprehensive Categories: Ensure that the chosen categories align with the nature and scope of the service. Select categories that are relevant, comprehensive, and accurately describe the service's purpose, industry, or subject matter.

“Name" Field:  Required Field

The "Name" field in Directus is used to enter the title or name of a service. It provides a brief and clear representation of the service.

“Description” Field:  Required Field

The "Description" field in Directus allows you to provide a detailed explanation or summary of a provider. Please describe the nature of work, specialized areas of service, and other general information about the service provider. Please utilize the H1, H2, H3 header options which will help readability and formatting of the connected sites. 

"Address” Field:  Required Field

The "Address" field in Directus is used to specify the location of a service provider. Please input the headquarters address of the physical location of the service provider in this field. Providers may exist across many countries!

The "Translations" field in Directus allows Service Mapping Officers to manually translate the description and name into the language of their choice. It provides a way to create and manage localized versions of the content for users who may speak different languages.

Language Selection: When working with the "Translations" field, you can choose the specific language for which you want to provide a translation.
