Directus has been set up by our Tech team to provide you with a seamless experience in managing and sharing information. In this section, we will explain how everything is connected within Directus, how information is shared and updated, and where you can find additional resources for reference.
Collections Directus organizes data into collections, which act as folders or containers for related information. Each collection represents a specific category or type of data. For example, we have a collection for "Services" that stores service information, and another collection for "Providers" that contains Provider details. The Tech team has configured collections based on the needs of our team. |
Fields
Within each collection, there are fields that define the specific data points or attributes. For instance, in the "Services" collection, you might have fields such as "Name," "Description," "Category," and so on. These fields determine the type of data that can be stored and displayed. Directus comes ready-made with many fields to choose from.
Relationships
Directus allows you to establish relationships between collections. This means you can link data from one collection to another, creating meaningful connections. For example: we connect the “category” field in the “services” collection, to the list of categories found in the “service category” collection.
