"Subcategories" Field: Not a Required Field

The "Subcategories" field in Directus allows you to assign more specific subcategories to a service, providing additional granularity and further classifying the service within its main category. Here's how you can use this field:

• Adding Subcategories: To assign subcategories to a service, click on the "Add Existing" button within the "Subcategories" field.
• Selecting Subcategories: A selection menu will appear, displaying the available subcategories in Directus. These subcategories are mapped to the category. Choose the relevant subcategories that provide more specific classification for the service. You can select one or multiple subcategories based on the service's characteristics. Currently there is a bug in Directus that prevents your selection of category to automatically filter the subcategories to the selected categories. In the meantime, filter based on the ID of the categories by selecting the “filter” button, “categories”, “Service Categories ID”, Equals (ID of category). You can export the category ID values within the “Service Categories” collection. This is not optimal and we will find a way to circumvent this inconvenience.

"Accessibility" Field: Not a Required Field

The "Accessibility" field in Directus allows you to indicate the accessibility of an office or service location. It provides information about the facilities and accommodations available to individuals with disabilities or specific accessibility needs. 

Here's how you can use this field: If the location is accessible, you can provide additional details about the specific accessibility features available, such as ramps, elevators, wheelchair-accessible entrances, or other accommodations.

"Populations" Field: Not a Required Field

The "Populations" field in Directus allows you to select the specific populations that will be served at a particular location. It helps identify the target audience or groups for which the services are designed. Here's how you can use this field:

• Selecting Populations: Within the "Populations" field, you can choose the relevant populations from the available options. These options may include various demographic groups, such as children, seniors, individuals with disabilities, or specific communities.
• Hidden Options: Note that some population options may be hidden to users. This ensures that certain population groups are only visible or selectable by authorized personnel or administrators.

"Physical Location" Field: Not a Required Field

The "Physical Location" checkbox  in Directus indicates whether a service has a physical office or location that users can visit in person. If you want the service to appear as a physical location on the map, check this box and input data on the location map. If you select no for this button then your “public” status service will not show on your website.

"Address" Field: Not a Required Field

The "Address" field in Directus allows you to enter the physical address of a service location. Simply input the complete and accurate address information for the service location. Please input the postal address, even though this is not the most effective way to say the address to people who live nearby always, it provides us with an additional factor to derive location from. If it is an actual address that you add we can infer the pin, region, and city. 

"Location" Field: Not a Required Field

The "Location" field in Directus allows users to pinpoint the precise geographical location of a service on a map. Here's how it works:

• Pinning the Location: Users can interact with a map interface within Directus to select and mark the exact location of the service. This can be done by clicking or dragging a marker on the map to the desired position. You can also search an address using the search button () and a coordinating pin will populate.

When a location is pinned on the map, the system captures the corresponding geographical coordinates, such as latitude and longitude. These coordinates provide the precise geographic reference of the service location.

By utilizing the "Location" field and pinning the service location on a map, users can provide an exact geographic reference for the service. This helps others visualize and locate the service with precision.

	The “+” Symbol allows users to zoom into the map.
	The “-” Symbol allows users to zoom out of the map.
	The “Target” Symbol allows users to use their own location.
	The “Select” symbol zooms the map to the location of the existing pin.
	The “Pointer” button to add a new location, this will delete any other pins.
	The "Trash" button to delete pins

You can also change between multiple basemaps: open street map, Mapbox ( for different map options.

"Header Image" Field: Not a Required Field

The "Header Image" field in Directus allows you to upload and display a visually appealing image at the top of a service page or document. Here's how you can use this field:

Uploading an Image- You can choose to either:

• Drag and Drop
• Upload from your computer
• Upload from the Directus files
• Link an image

The preference is to not use links as they can expire. First the SMO should look at the list of photos that already exist in directus files and select one that already exists. If they do not already exist then upload from your computer or drag and drop. Only use .png or .JPEG file types. Any other filetypes will not show on our website or in Directus. A good rule of thumb is that if Directus does not show the image in the above header image container once you have uploaded it then you should reupload it or choose a different file/file type. 

"Opening Hours" Field: Not a Required Field

The "Opening Hours" field in Directus allows you to specify the operating hours for a service on different days of the week. Here's how you can input the opening hours for each day separately:

• If the service is open 24/7 then just select “always open. 
• If the Service is not always open
  • Access the Opening Hours Page: Click on the "Create New" button to access the page where you can input a day's operating hours.
  • Select the day: On the page, you will find a section to input the opening hours for each day of the week. Start by selecting from the drop down the specific day you want to set the opening hours for.
  • Input the Hours: Once you've selected the day, input the opening and closing hours for that particular day. Remember to use 24-Hour time. Repeat this process for each day of the week, selecting the day and entering the corresponding opening and closing hours.
  • Save the Hours: Select the check mark at the top right to save each day.

"Administrative Information" Section: Not a Required Field

In the "Administrative Information" section of Directus, you can input the primary and secondary focal points for a service. This information includes the contact's first name, last name, role, email, and phone number. Here's how you can provide these details:

• Contact First Name: Input the first name of the primary focal point.
• Contact Last Name: Input the last name of the primary focal point.
• Contact Role: Specify the role or position of the primary focal point within the organization or service.
• Contact Email: Provide the email address of the primary focal point.
• Contact Phone: Input the phone number of the primary focal point.
• Secondary Focal Point: If applicable, you can also provide the contact information for a secondary focal point who can assist with inquiries or act as a backup contact.

"Public Contact Information" Section: Not a Required Field

In the "Public Contact Information" section of Directus, you can add contact details for the public to reach out to the service. Here's how you can add contact information:

• Creating a New Contact Information Entry: Click on the "Create New" button to add a new contact information entry.
• Selecting a Channel: From the dropdown menu, choose the preferred channel through which the public can contact the service. This can include options like phone, email, website, social media, or any other relevant communication channel.
• Inserting Contact Details: In the detail box, enter the specific contact details associated with the selected channel. For example, if you choose "Phone" as the channel, input the phone number. If you choose "Email," enter the email address. If it's a website, provide the URL, and so on. For phone numbers and Whatsapp numbers, make sure these numbers are stored in an e.164 number format for consistency. If you want to use the contact lists for proactive outreach (for example, scheduled text/Whatsapp/email blasts to the service providers), please reach out to us directly for support on configuring these systems.
• Adding Multiple Contact Information: If there are multiple contact channels you want to provide, repeat the steps above to create additional entries for each channel.
• For phone numbers and Whatsapp numbers: make sure these numbers are stored in an e.164 number format for consistency. If you want to use the contact lists for proactive outreach (for example, scheduled text/Whatsapp/email blasts to the service providers), please reach out to us directly for support on configuring these systems.

"Upload Files" Section: Not a Required Field

In the "Upload Files" section of Directus, you have three options to add files associated with the service. Here are the available options:

• Upload File from Device: Click on the "Upload File from Device" option to select a file from your computer or local device. This allows you to browse your files and upload the desired document or media directly.
• Choose File from Library: If you have previously uploaded files to your Directus media library, you can select the "Choose File from Library" option. This allows you to search and select a file from your existing library of uploaded files.
• Import File from URL: The "Import File from URL" option enables you to import a file from a specific web address or URL. Simply paste the URL

Things you may want to consider uploading are any brochures sent by the service provider, and any details about how to access the service. 

"Consent Form" Section: Not a Required Field

To add a consent form to your service in Directus, follow these steps:

• Creating a New Consent Form: Click on the "Create New" button to create a new consent form entry.
• Entering Document Name: Provide a name for the consent form by entering it in the "Document Name" field. This name should be descriptive and easily identifiable.
• Document URL: Enter the URL or web address where the consent form is hosted or stored in the "Document URL" field. This can be a direct link to a PDF file or an online form.

"Source" Section: Not editable

The source is an automatically generated field that tells the development team and the SMO whether the data was added “Manually” by an SMO or if it was automatically generated from another data source. Future data sources will include “Zendesk, Email, Form, etc.” of the file you want to import, and Directus will fetch and associate it with the service.
