Importing data is an important part of an SMO’s job. After conducting an investigation, it became apparent that due to the limitations of Directus, importing .csv files with relational data was not feasible with their basic import functionality. To address this challenge, an entirely new module was developed with an import document.

1. Access Import Document: Import Document Link. |

2. Please add all the fields using the dropdowns in each column when possible:
The import module (below in photo) is conveniently located within the sidebar as an upload icon. Upon accessing this module, users are presented with a view featuring a button enabling them to select your updated .xlsx file for upload. This file format, a pre-formatted spreadsheet inclusive of all relational data, has been attached to this comment for reference, complete with demo services. Upon successful file upload, the import process commences automatically. This process systematically seeks out references for each pre-existing population, accessibility level, category, subcategory, content, and more. Each service that is imported undergoes a structured flow which supplements it with additional information. This information includes geocoding for cities, regions, and any other relevant components outlined in our service design. It is important to note that the success of the import process is contingent upon the use of a pre-formatted sheet. Modifying the column names or altering their sequence may compromise the proper functioning of the process. Additionally, the import process requires, at a minimum, the inclusion of a Title, Description, and Country for each entry in the sheet.
3. To open the import menu, click on the “Import” button on the left toolbar. This allows you to import only xlsx and csv files.
Use this import template in CSV format to import messages in bulk. Do note that you should notify the development team when you are doing large bulk imports so you can avoid having to wait for deleting any content that imports incorrectly. You may have to wait a few minutes for this to function.

Please avoid the native Directus import functionality as it will import data in HTML format. |
