Sometimes users come to us to report corruption or exploitation. This can involve individuals, or institutions like the IRC itself or the Asylum Service. We understand that these complaints are sensitive and therefore will each require a specific process. It is also important to remember and remind users that while we will do all we can to investigate a complaint or report, there is only so much we can control if the complaint is about an external service provider.
It is always important to follow this rule: "If you see something, say something." |
Here are some additional reminders:
- Signpost is committed to ensuring safe and secure conditions for all Signpost employees and Signpost clients, and to maintaining a work environment that promotes staff well-being, resilience, health and productivity.
- Sometimes it’s not easy raising concerns, but this is the Signpost way.
- We want all staff to feel comfortable both speaking up themselves and as well as raising user concerns. We recognize that sometimes it takes courage as well as commitment.
If a report comes through, we have a responsibility to pass it on to someone higher up.

Even if you think that we won’t be able to help, it’s important that you let us know, so that we can pass the allegation on.
