On your Zendesk Guide articles, you can add attachments on your website that will appear at the bottom of the articles. Adding attachments can work as additional documentation that supports the article content. Examples of this could be:
- A form to apply for government support
- Detailed information on government programs and so on
By adding additional documentation, users will be able to locally download the attachment(s) on their laptop or phone.

How to add Attachments to your Zendesk articles:
1. The attachment name is what will appear on the front, so before uploading, make sure to rename the attachment to be an appropriate file name that the user will understand.
Example:
Original file name: lkgjofaboutsignpost2345.pdf
File rename: learn_about_signpost.pdf
By updating and renaming the file, it will look more visually appealing and easier for the user to read
2. The document must be uploaded using an appropriate file format that a user can open on their device. The file extensions that we can support are as follows: .jpg, .jpeg, .png, .pdf, .doc, .docx. Please ensure that before adding attachments they follow one of these file formats.
3. Steps to adding an attachment involve:
a. Go to the article setting
b. Scroll down to Attachments
c. Click on 'Manage attachments'
d. Click on 'Your Media' or 'All Media'
e. Click on the article you would like to add from 'Upload Media' or on your account and click 'Attach media'
f. Once you follow these steps, make sure you click 'Save'. The attachments will appear the next time the site regenerates.

How to add Videos to your Zendesk articles:
Editorial teams also can add videos to their Zendesk articles. Videos from Box are not to be added as they are not public to the end users and they will encounter access issues. We recommend that you use videos from YouTube, Vimeo and other supported providers.
To do that, follow the steps below:
1. Go to the video you would like to add on YouTube, Vimeo, or the other supported providers that allows public access
2. Ensure that you've changed the video settings to Public from Private
3. Click on the share button and click the 'Copy' link
4. Return to the Zendesk article, at the top of the toolbar, click on the 'Add video' (icon: circle with a play in the middle)
5. Paste the link and click 'Insert'
6. Once it is inserted you should immediately be able to view the video within the ZD article page
